Military Officers Association of America
Dear Potential Member
I'd like to invite and encourage you to join the Falcons Landing Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), the preeminent organization protecting the rights and benefits of service members past, current, and future (Select Common Application tile below). The local chapters perform similar services at the community and county level, and they educate and inform members on important issues facing veterans and their families. We are proud that our Falcons Landing Chapter has been awarded MOAA’s highest-level 5-Star Chapter rating – and we ask you to join us in perpetuating that honor.
As a reminder, MOAA membership is open to those who hold or have ever held a warrant or commission in any component of the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, NOAA, Space Force, and their surviving spouses. MOAA member benefits include the best-available insurance plans; participation in legislative activities; employment assistance; an award-winning monthly magazine; health coverage with Tricare supplements; assistance with financial, educational, travel, and real estate matters; discounts on many products; and a member service center to respond to questions. If you are not a member of MOAA National, you may join by going to www.moaa.org/join.
Members of local chapters are the backbone of MOAA National. Our Chapter mission is to “Actively Support Those Who Are Serving, Those Who Have Served, and Those Who Have Survived.” When you join our Chapter, the only one in Loudoun County, you’ll add your voice to those of the members of the Virginia Council of Chapters (VCOC), a statewide network of Virginia chapters. VCOC is striving to make Virginia the most veteran-friendly state in the country.
Examples of how your Chapter membership can benefit not only you, but also our Virginia service members and veterans, are shown by clicking the button below. Projects include the establishment of a Chapter Speakers Bureau that sends our highly experienced members to address meetings of local community service organizations as keynote speakers; Chapter sponsorship of the Falcons Landing’s popular monthly “Gathering” presentations in our Ballroom that are also open to non-residents; and the provision of financial and other support to recovering veterans in Loudoun County.
Chapter members can also look forward to receiving our award-winning monthly Legislative Affairs Update and the information-packed quarterly newsletter, The Falcon Flyer, that covers activities, events, and meeting results of the Chapter’s Board of Directors. This Newsletter is also an award winner, having recently captured the MOAA Col. Marvin J. Harris Communications Award at the highest 5-star level. If you have interest in or questions about joining MOAA’s select group of professionals at the national and/or chapter levels, please contact Max Johnson at 703-508-3788 or mwjohnson64@verizon.net. You may also fill out the Contact Form under the About US Tab of this website. Max can also advise you of the MOAA and chapter dues structure. Thank you for considering our invitation.
