Benefits of Falcons Landing MOAA 5-Star Chapter Membership

Survivors of former National MOAA members or survivors of deceased individuals who would, if living, be eligible for membership may become Auxiliary members with the same privileges as regular veteran members, including election to the Chapter’s Board of Directors.

- Guest speakers on topics of specific interest to our members- Responsible for the popular Falcons Landing "Gathering" presentations in the Ballroom

Monthly Legislative Update to Chapter members and a quarterly Chapter newsletter, "The Falcon Flyer", both receiving the highest level (5-Star) MOAA awards.

Provide grassroots strength needed to pass national legislation - SUCCESS STORY - TRICARE for LIFE passage!

Work to pass state legislation that benefits members and their families
- Provide a personal property tax exemption for disabled veterans
- Obtain a guaranteed share of Lottery proceeds for veterans’ programs
- Tax relief for Virginia’s citizen soldiers called to active duty- Protect and enhance military health care – TRICARE threat

“Care” packages for military personnel serving abroad - supporting Adopt-a-Platoon program.

Assistance to others after the loss of a loved one
- Personal affairs committee standing by to “take care of our own” and advise you how to "be prepared".

Undertake major community service projects
- Currently support two JROTC programs at Fairfax and Loudoun County high schools
- Maintain a Speaker's Bureau to make presentations to community service organizations
- Major project with local church to support recovering and needy veterans within Loudoun County

Sponsor trips to local areas/facilities of military significance
