Legislative Report, Advocacy, Information, and Priorities

MOAA actively engages Congress to protect and improve benefits for servicemembers, retirees, veterans, and their families. Member participation is essential — the more voices raised, the stronger the impact. You can support these efforts through the MOAA Action Center and by responding to MOAA’s legislative alerts.

Legislative Engagement & How Members Can Help

MOAA regularly lobbies Congress, but success depends on member participation.

  • MOAA sometimes includes postcards and letters in its magazine (Military Officer) for us to sign and mail to our representatives (identified for us).

  • Subscribe to the MOAA Newsletter for updates on legislative issues, benefits, and events.

  • Review current issues at www.moaa.org/takeaction.

  • Chapter members and MOAA staff meet annually with members of Congress to advocate directly.

If you need help accessing the newsletter, MOAA National can assist at (800) 234‑6622. Members without email may contact CDR (Ret) Buddy Everage at (703) 822‑1201 here at Falcons Landing.

MOAA and the Falcons Landing Chapter remain nonpartisan while staying informed on issues affecting veterans at federal, state, and local levels.
